You can use a 19mm drill socket, or if you don’t have one, we include a hand crank as an option. We also recommend using a drill driver, not an impact driver.
How do I install the Sand Dogs if I don’t have a drill?
You can still install the Sand Dog Pegs without a drill. Simply use the top hole for leverage with a screwdriver, piece of pipe, or any sturdy rod. This allows you to manually screw the peg into the sand with ease.
Are Sand Dog Pegs suitable for other types of ground, or are they only for sand?
Sand Dog Pegs are optimized specifically for sandy terrain with a 50mm flute and extra-long 450mm length to ensure stability in soft sand. While they may hold in loose soil, we recommend Ground Dog or Tuff Dog Pegs for hard or rocky ground.
Why is my Sand Dog peg not holding?
The Sand Dog will hold in some of the softest sand. If a Sand Dog is not creating a secure solution, try an additional tie down point.
