Anchor Plate Kit for Barrel Awnings Description
Securely anchor an awning leg vertically when detached from the side of a Caravan/Motorhome.
Position the awning leg vertically, and then slip the Awning Anchor plate over the bar on the foot of the awning leg, & drill in the two Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™, with wing collars. Use the Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™ with the hook collar to add tie downs for extra security if required.
The benefit of a vertical awning leg is that it gives a clear walkway around the caravan, and there is no need to duck under diagonal awning legs. A vertical awning leg also gives a better view to appreciate the surrounding area.

Awning Anchor Plate Kit
ANCHORING YOUR AWNING
ROBUST > DURABLE > VERSATILE
The ultimate way to secure your awning is with an Awning Anchor Plate Kit
When it comes to securing a vertical caravan leg, the Awning Anchor Plate Kit is the ideal solution.
A vertical caravan leg allows you to wonder freely around your caravan without having to walk around the angled awning leg, or duck to avoid hitting it.
By repositioning the caravan awning leg, you no longer have a bar obstructing your view, allowing you to appreciate the view and your surrounding area.
Kit includes:
- Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™ with wing collar (x4)
- Anchor Plates (x2)
- 19mm Socket & drill adaptor (1)
Features:
- Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™ with aggressive thread and tapered shaft
- Bright orange wing collars
- Unique stainless steel Awning Anchor Plate
- 19mm socket and Drill Adaptor
Wing Collar (x4)
The Wing Collar is used with a Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™, when using the Anchor Plate to secure the awning leg vertically.
The Wing Collar is an adjustable locking nut that can be varied to suit the depth of the ground. This means if you can only get half the peg into the ground, simply winding down the locking nut will make it just as effective, and means you don’t have to have the peg all the way in.
Awning Anchor Plate (x2)
The Awning Anchor plate slides over the bar on the foot of the awning leg, it is then secured with two Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™ with the wing collars.
19mm Socket and Drill Adaptor (x1)
The Ground Dog screw in pegs have a 19mm head, which makes screwing in the pegs easy and fast! The 19mm head fits both the Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™, and the stabilizer legs - this means you only need to carry one size drill socket!
Adjustable Locking Nut
The Ground Dog Screw in Pegs™ can accommodate two different collars. The collars are an adjustable locking nut that can be varied to suit the depth of the ground. This means if you can only get half the peg into the ground, simply winding down the locking nut will make it just as effective, and means you don’t have to have the peg all the way in.
